even 300 friends on your personal Facebook page if you have 3000 you have tons of clients just sitting there who would sign up with you they just don’t know what you are doing it’s the same with your Instagram account most online coaches are putting up pictures or their gym bags and their shaker bottles and nobody knows what they actually do that’s why doing the stories is so powerful because you can go back to watching cat videos don’t worry and then I say people would ask me what the heck have you been up to Craig and then I say well you know we’re still living in Toronto downtown just around the corner from here but we also started but there’s been one big change I recently started and then insert details about your coaching program I recently started a coaching program for men and women over the age of 40 who are super super busy at work and at home but who need to lose about 20 pounds of belly fat okay I just started that program it’s really a passion project for me I want to few online coaches in all types of business coaching and that sort of stuff industries and it works thousand dollar-a-month clients $5,000 eight-week programs this works so it will work for you but okay so play in the long game this is the best strategy so this is model video strategy now Dan talked about this if you’re at the where was that Vancouver masterminds alright so this is like the secret sauce here when I teach Jake and Gavin this their channels blew up because a lot of people I don’t know if you’ve tried to film videos it kind of feels kind of random maybe or you’re coming up with ideas on your own you can go to other people’s channels and all the work has been done for you right who knows the 80/20 principle right yeah we all know it so 20 percent in and you get to 80% out exactly it couldn’t be more – with YouTube’s fact Jason I was just showing you my analytics and out of the revenue like it was like five or six videos that were given all of it so what you do is you go into people’s channels so I found a yoga channel okay and you go I don’t know who this is but you go into their videos right there and then you just sort by the most popular now what you’re gonna get is probably 20 or 30 videos on that front page and what you do is you get this for five channels okay and then you have a hundred videos that are proven to convert that you can model after you don’t even have to watch them you just create similar topics alright so here’s some tips on this creating a video Bank is the very technical term I came up with and so what I do is I write down every idea for videos on an actual Google Drive or a word doc or a Pages doc and then you have a schedule okay so just some quick tips I told you the five model Channel 20 videos each for 100 model videos okay my friend who lives in San Diego now is over 500,000 subscribers in like 18 months I asked him how he did it and he said his only strategy was just getting proven content from other people it’s ok being basic and repeating yourself so I’m sure a lot of us the videos that you’re gonna make are very basic questions that your audience is probably asking and then I just put down here Monday Wednesday Friday 3:30 p.m. Pacific Standard Time 7 to 15 minutes long that’s about like I mean how often should you post is such an individual question and you hear a lot of answers but if there was like just a layman’s answer that I told my coaching clients Monday Wednesday Friday 3:30 p.m. and that’s just based on my friends and when they get most engagement alright so number 3 writes your video so I create a speaking bank for an outline for videos I do outline every video some are scripted fully but others are just kind of winging it I like to create a speaking bank so it’s really beneficial I’ve found if I’m on a plane or in traffic or whatever on tour some down time writing all these stories that you have whether they’re from your email whether they’re from your public speaking a question a client has a success story it’s a little short anecdote and you kind of build out this Bank so when you go to film a video and you know you have three points you can just pull from this and you’re done in 10 minutes instead of an hour that’s just a quick tip because when people look at your social media they have like a couple seconds to decide you’re on Vince’s podcast and he shouts you out and people go to your social media they thumb it like they look above the fold they do one thumb swipe and they decided they’re gonna follow you or not right so not messaging right there just what you’re seeing if it’s not speaking into these things that’s one of those first things to fix and change it’s one of those first things at six six and eight it’s not what you like it’s what are you trying to attract so a simple equation if you need help figuring this out is ask yourself who is my target market who is my target market target market what problem do they have that you can saw and then where do they hang out that’s where to start with that and then using your words to combine with that I was looking at somebody’s social media he brought it up to me and he said what do you see and I scrolled it and I said just right away I said Fitness more hardcore you like dogs family relationship and he said he used some other words I’m like why don’t see any of that there so it’s not that he doesn’t see that but the disconnect could be if it’s not showing up on your social how do people know that you’re into that how do they know that you’re into that so who’s your target market what problem do you do they have that you can solve doesn’t have to be unique just know that you can solve it and where do they hang out and it’s always a simple equation this is important it’s how am i perceived who do I want to help and how do I want to be perceived because how you’re perceived is what we just had our neighbors show us but who do you want to help and how do you want to be perceived might be disconnected and taking a hard look at that and asking yourself those questions before posting another critical thing here is be who you are not who you think you should be and focus out on others be who you are not who you think you should be and focus out on others focus out on others because that’s what you all are in this business for is to help others right it’s not just to help you you’re in here to create win wins and when you help others through what you know and how you can serve that does help you and we tend to forget that a lot on social media we want to post the selfie of how great we look which is fine too but what’s your messaging with that what are you sharing how is that making somebody else feel when you post that what I started I started doing this because I wanted them to realize that okay there is a path of getting there but most importantly once they have this in front of them this triangle you look at it and they’re like oh this is what I need to do and they’re relating this they’ve already told you about all their problems and they’re relating the solution to all their problems is this and you’re the person who made them realize this so now they believe without you telling them they believe that you’re the one who can help them and not only that but even if you don’t close them they still have that paper with them and they’re seeing it multiple times and they can bring it to their spouse if they need to talk about it and it’s it’s just helped me so much put up your hand if I use this on you on the phone I think it’s only one person right when I did that with you did it did it help yeah sure okay yeah yeah so as a dating coach I was like he’s probably gonna know what’s going on here but I was like I’m gonna do it anyways just do it anyways so these are your they’re your core pillars so you got to wat watch your unpack your IP video figure out what your core pillars are if you if you’re not totally clear on your core pillars and this is a little bit more advanced you’re gonna listen to what people are saying on the call like the the three things that they feel like they need like they’re really struggling with so if they say like oh I’m like my nutrition is really bad I would be like okay well definitely nutrition is one of them and fitness workouts is always gonna be one of them and then sometimes they’ll tell you something else like maybe it’s their their motivation or their compliance or something like that part of me lifestyle yeah so that one would be a little bit harder to define but if you could figure out how to define it then it would work ideally like ideally just there’s something beautiful about the choreography of having threes so if I could get them to draw a triangle the main thing here is I want them to rate themselves really low so when I said on a scale of 1 to 10 10 being like willful Wall Street where would you rate yourself currently on convert they’re like all well wolf of Wall Street’s at 10 I got to be like a 4 you know so the key is to make them realize that they need you more than then they think basically what I did is I cut out a part but I usually will do in a webinar and just one training point and the important part of a training point is you don’t want to teach them anything because that’s where it always goes wrong I see a lot of guys doing webinars that are actually teaching you don’t want to teach you want to wow them and actually show them something that I’ve been doing with doing wrong for years and they’re looking at it and like I don’t nothing wrong I know what I did wrong but how do I fix it then you need my help so I’ll give you an example because that’s something that’s really hard for people to understand in this video I will explain about why weekly weigh-ins don’t work I showed them that actually per day you can differentiate between one and two percent in body weight based fluid intake and why it’s every day is different and I showed them a weekly average is more precise and let’s say you weigh on set a weight really less and the other day and I fluid intake you will weigh heavier and well you’re actually lost weight so you make them make the wrong decision based on that I’ll teach them something like that I’m like yeah I’ll wait every solid and Saturday I probably make that mistake and not just something why in couldn’t keep up with my diet sort of like okay I know I did something wrong how do I fix it and that’s where my coaching comes in what I will do is use a lot of social proof in the video another thing that I do is if you look at their photos the pretty extreme I will get people that are actually really good at Instagram making selfies or like with the guy on the right I will take the picture because I will use perfect lighting he has got a tan on everything to make this transformation look even more drastic because people will look at the first photo and look like he weighs the same how do you look that different and I will get a lot of questions about it because I want to start the competition
