Hey Callum. Great question, I guess you are just getting started?
Here’s my advice: If you’re only focused on either inbound or outbound marketing, you’re missing out on the opportunity to provide a holistic picture of what your business does, what your value proposition is, and how you stand out from the competition. So, it’s not really a matter of having one or the other. You can use both. When properly used, your inbound marketing will improve the results of your outbound marketing tactics and outbound marketing will give a lift to the impact of your inbound marketing strategy.
Build a lead nurturing program that leverages the thought leadership content that’s been published for your inbound marketing strategy. Track the performance of your inbound content and then use that to repurpose it into an outbound package and send to your hot leads as another (hopefully sealing) way to start a direct conversation with them.
Hope this helps. Curious to hear what the other members here think.
