Marketing Consultant Interview Evaluation Form

Thoroughly review the information on this website. Then use this form when evaluating a marketing consultant or marketing consulting firm.

On a scale of one to five, with five being the highest and one the lowest, rate each item based on your degree of confidence that the primary consultant that will work on your business qualifies and/or can apply each of the following:

1. Has at least a bachelor degree in marketing or advertising from a reputable university.

2 Demonstrates that he continually reads and studies traditional and contemporary well-known authors on marketing. He can name authors and books and tell you specifically what he applies from at least a few of them

3. Easily discusses his biggest successes and failures in marketing and what he learned from these. (Make sure he is being completely honest).

4. Understands the Laws of Communication knows how to apply them.

5. Understands the importance of providing a superior product or service and customer service.
___
6. Knows how to use surveys to isolate what to focus on to make a company superior to its competition.
___
7. Knows how to innovate a business to make it superior to its competition.
___
8. Understands how to capture attention through the use of headlines.
___
9. Knows how to uncover hot buttons through surveys and how to manage the survey process.

10. Knows how to use hot buttons in ads and promotion.
___
11. Understands the importance of educating people about what to look for and look out for concerning a product or service.

12. Understands how to build a case for a product or service.
___
13. Knows how to write sales scripts and rebuttals for objections.

14. Understands the importance of and knows how to systematize the entire sales effort, including sales letters and other promotions that are to be sent on an ongoing basis.
